About

EASST2026 is the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology conference under the theme “More than now: exploring resilient futures”. The conference asks how science and technology studies can help imagine, critique, and realise more resilient socio-technical futures.

The conference is relevant to NAIF because several sessions address the infrastructures through which research is produced, made visible, evaluated, and governed. Particularly relevant sessions include meet-ups and panels on the futures of scholarly communication, resilient research infrastructures, research information infrastructures, critical metascience, data infrastructures, and the politics of AI and evaluation.

The call for abstracts is closed, but the event remains a useful opportunity to follow debates around open and community-owned infrastructures, research information, responsible metrics, and the changing conditions of scholarly communication.
